Event Details

Dr. Michelle Reale is a professor at Arcadia University and the author of several poetry collections. Dr. Reale conducted seven years of ethnography in Sicily among African and Syrian refugees. The poems in the resulting collection, Confini: Poems of Refugees in Sicily, evocatively represent the lived experiences of people fleeing turmoil and settling in a place far from home. Dr. Reale will discuss her book and the research methodology of poetic inquiry. There will also be plenty of time to ask her questions about her work. Registration required. Available to stream on Zoom.

This event is a part of our Arcadia Talks series, a collaboration with The Humanities Research Lab/College of Arts & Sciences at Arcadia University.
