Gardening is a popular hobby with many therapeutic health benefits. People of all ages are discovering the joy of playing in the dirt. Anyone can garden and make it an enjoyable experience by following some simple guidelines. Gardening 101 will cover the basics of gardening including different plant types and what a plant needs to survive. During the presentation, we’ll discuss tools and accessories that you’ll need for gardening and tips about planting veggies, perennials, and annuals. Finally, you’ll learn how to care for your plants to keep them healthy. Bring your questions!

Instructor Bio:

Christine Sinotte is a certified Penn State Master Gardener, affiliated with the Montgomery County Extension program in Creamery, PA. Christine retired in 2023 from her career as an Event Coordinator and Marketing Manager at a local garden center, Floral & Hardy of Skippack. During her career, she managed over 120 events per year, including gardening workshops and community events. She also helped develop promotional and social media programs. Christine currently lives in Skippack with her husband, dog and two goats.
